Have you ever walked into a room you’ve never been in but felt you’ve been there before; maybe you hear something that you feel you’ve heard before…eerie isn’t it ???...that phenomenon is known as déjà vu and many people have experienced such a thing but as to why…that is unknown

Metempsychosis is a term referring to transmigration of the soul, primarily its reincarnation after death…it is the idea that, when a person dies, their soul is transferred into another body. It could be a troubled soul bent on vengeance. There have been times when this old soul takes over the mind and body of the new one and acts out in ways that are incongruent with the way one normally behaves. This can lead to most unfortunate consequences.

It’s been said that the astral body is a spiritual counterpart to the physical body that exists on a different plane…Plato was one of the first who pondered about the concept. The astral body is said to be the way of carrying the soul from the physical body into higher realms. It may be how we experience dreams among other things.

The word poltergeist is German for ‘noisy ghost’ and it is a type of ghost or other type of supernatural entity which is responsible for physical disturbances…things such as objects moving around or maybe even destroying items as well as true to its name, loud noises

Presence...hard to define, it is just a feeling; sometimes comforting, sometimes disturbing. We can be touched by a presence even if we cannot see what it is that is ‘touching’ us. This can be a possible ghostly presence or merely spirit-like in nature.

People who have extrasensory perception are said to be psychic...an uncanny ability to foretell future events. Skeptics doubt it, but there’s no denying such precognitive actions have occurred; not just once, i.e. a shot in the dark, but people who have demonstrated the ability of doing it many times. I personally have sensed a bridge collapse, and other less dramatic events. No one can tell me that ESP isn’t real.

or I don’t even know what train companies 

are even around anymore (Grand Trunk, Grand Funk,

Burlington Northern???) I think now

they’re all a mishmash of former identities 

a corporate goulash of ghosts —

there aren’t many trains running anymore 

at least where I live

I say I live cause it doesn’t feel like home

it’s just a place to lay my head down each night

last freight train I saw had some generic name on it I didn’t recognize 

it was pulling some tanker cars

and they were like good chinese communists 

back in the fifties — all dressed alike

in dark gray uniforms with nothing much 

to distinguish them from each other 

don’t know if he became an engineer or not

we didn’t keep in touch but I wish we would have 

he was one of the few sane people 

in that asylum 

good old workplace/chew ‘em up meat grinder 

maybe it was just a pipe dream 

hatched out of some hashish 

but I like to think he’s riding the rails now

Dematerialization is when a ghost for example who perhaps can be seen makes himself invisible to all. Dematerialization is different from decomposing. Mozart was a composer and when he died he became a decomposer. Maybe the ghost of Mozart has been seen around the Vienna???

Dream Interpretation is believing that a prophecy can be deduced by the study of dreams and interpreting what a dream or series of dreams means and how it somehow correlates to your life. No matter how disjointed a dream may be or how bizarre, dream interpretation is the belief that somehow, someway, it can be correlated to your life in some kind of rational manner.

Astral projection: is about having an intentional out-of-body experience, one where a body travels outside of itself to astral planes throughout the universe...The astral universe is said by some to be hundreds of times larger than the material universe...and it can be done with no carry-on or baggage fees.

Some people believe that a guardian angel is looking out for them. That’s an angel whose job it is to protect and guide a person. Indeed, the belief in guardian angels can be traced through the beginning of times. If true, the ‘guardian angels’ have been taking their coffee breaks at the most inopportune times for many people.

A talisman is a charm or object that is said to possess magical powers. It can be used to ward off evil and prevent harm from coming to the person who has it. Among other things, it could be a charm, a ring that’s been inscribed, an animal tooth or foot, or a ‘magic’ stone.

Automatic Writing is writing down in a stream of consciousness form while in a deep meditative state or after falling unknowingly into such a state. It provides a message not from the writer, but instead from someone who is using the writer as a channel.

like so many others have done before

but not today

no direction known

blend in with the locals if possible

hide in barns, attics, cellars

don’t wanna be found no more

no more Tokyo Rose or Axis Sally or Mata Hari

don’t wanna hear your names or your voices

An aura is a type of colored emanation that is said to surround a human body, or in some cases maybe an animal or even an object. This emanation can be seen by some that have the power to do so. It is a type of ‘energy field’ that surrounds the subject. Auras can come in a variety of colors that reflect the nature of the ‘aur-ee’.

Throwing salt into the air and reading the pattern it makes on the floor is called alomancy; a form of divination. Salt is considered by some to be lucky...therefore there are those that throw salt over their shoulder for good luck. Do you consider salt to be lucky?

Numerology is the perceived mystical relationship between numbers and happenings. Some people may have what they consider a ‘lucky’ number. In some cultures, certain numbers are considered to be lucky and some are considered to be unlucky.  It’s a way of predicting future events by using interpretations of numbers in relation to coinciding occurrences. 

Astrology is using a date of birth to predict the future and to reveal personality traits by charting celestial positions (planets, stars, etc) and movements. Were you born when the moon was in the seventh house and Jupiter was aligned with Mars? Do you believe in such notions?

Candle Reading is an attempt at foretelling the future by looking at a candle flame or by dropping some wax into water and reading the shapes, or just interpreting shapes made by a melting candle. Can this type of thing really foretell the future? Who knows?

Sometimes by using hypnosis, meditation, or other means, one can unearth previous experiences from previous lives. This process is called Past Life Regression and is different from people who can recall past lives at will. Do you believe you have lived a past life(s)?
