Just as a captain crossing a great sea must keep a close eye on the
direction of his ship, we gotta keep an eye over what we’re doing too…it’s not
a good idea to simply launch ourselves on a voyage and then sail off blindly
into unknown waters…those murky waters can often get treacherous…we have to make
adjustments when necessary, learn to catch the wind, and avoid the rocky shores
that can cause trouble...we also have to be careful who and what sails on our
ship…their baggage can weigh us down and eventually sink us…the Dao is the
lighthouse that shines through the densest of fogs and keeps us safe…and it’s
the greatest map one can use to maintain a steady course over calm seas.
