Silent Movies

Did you know that in the early 1900's, many New York City moviemakers took the train south and came to Jacksonville, Florida to take advantage of a warm climate and beautiful scenery which made the city for a small time at least, "The Winter Film Capital of the World". The talkies were a boon to many actors and a career ender for others. Change is always around the corner; be prepared.
