The ‘shipping lanes’ always sounded romantic and exotic to me, far out, out, out in the ocean, although in reality I’m sure they’re not. Well, they’re far out, but I’ve got it on good authority, they’re neither romantic or exotic. They’re way out, out and about, out in the middle of nowhere. I could see myself though on a tanker or container ship though sailing from the Far East. There’s a lot of downtime on ships you can use for writing, reading or whatever. Ships these days have it so much better (safety, food). Imagine being on one of the early explorers ships crossing the ocean. That had to be hard work and dangerous. Maybe they didn’t even have WiFi.
