Hello barstool my old friend, I’ve come to sit on you again

Sometimes you have to break the rules

Stop trying to be liked, it can make you weak

Sorry death, I’m going to have to take a sick day

It was raining but the sun is out now...day ruined

It’s usually better to look forward than behind but that depends on the view

Prose - the ordinary form of spoken or written language, without metrical structure, as distinguished from poetry or verse

Poetry (free verse) - Free verse is an open form of poetry. It does not use consistent meter patterns, rhyme, or any other musical pattern.

Paranormal - of or relating to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena.

My Poetry

Someone once told me

“Your poetry ain’t real poetry

because it don’t rhyme”

I told him

it was because

my poetry was about life

and life dosen’t always rhyme

you have blue

and you don’t always get

you or new

sometimes you get

bottle or street

Six Pine Trees

A family of six pine trees in the backyard...three were killed in last year’s hurricane...one died this year—maybe out of sympathy...now there are only two pine trees left and sadly, they don’t speak to each other.
