There is a great
difference between a seaman and a yachtsman just as there is a great difference
between yin and yang. Of course when the boat is sinking, a yachtsman may be
your best friend when you’re manning the lifeboats, that is if there aren’t any
seamen around…yin and yang are kind of like that…complimentary, not opposites.
They are united by a thread. This thread keeps the universe in harmony and
prevents anarchy from occurring. When balance is threatened to be corrupted, it
is one or the other that steps in and maintains this harmony. Without it, the
world would tilt, the oceans would empty and the planet would spin out of
control into the galaxies.
