Watch the boats go by
on the river, the fishing boats drifting leisurely along, the faster vessels
leaving large wakes. They are speeding by and chugging by. The water passes
under the bridge never to return on its long voyage to the sea. Time passes and
we are often unaware that we waste so much of it. It is not infinite like the
Dao. There is only so much champagne in the glass. Dance to as many songs as
you can, stay out late, go to bed early. Plan to be impulsive. The parade may
not last as long as we think.
