No Desire, Know Peace

If you’ll notice, the Dao is absent of all desire. It seeks to possess nothing. The one who is absent of desire is the one who lives in peace and contentment. He owns few possessions and makes sure that the possessions he has do not wind up owning him. Without desire, there is no need for anxiety, envy, or trying to force outcomes. The only desire should be to be one with the universe and to walk in harmony with it, and even that must be kept in check.
