Where
the Dao is abandoned, the weeds will grow. The buildings will fall into
disrepair and the glass in the windows will become shattered. The streets will
lead to nowhere but into a poverty of the mind. The intellectuals think they
know but they do not think. They do not know. The Dao knows. Whenever man tries
to outsmart the Dao, he only proves his stupidity and folly.
