When The Curtain Comes Down

If something exists that means something else does not exist. Life cannot exist without that dark curtain of death that sooner or later comes down on all plays. What good is life without death. Is it not death that gives life its point? Without death, one would just go on living and that would be pointless. It is the non-existence in the existent that often gives it its greatest value. What good is that vase if there is no emptiness within it to hold flowers? A room with no windows in it can be terribly depressing. If we build a room with no door, we cannot get in. Again, it is the emptiness that permits access. To learn that non-existence has great value is a lesson well learned.
