From our actions, come ramifications spreading out like ripples on a pond. One snowflake can cause an avalanche; one drop of rain can cause a dam to burst. To be mindful of these things is to understand the Tao intimately. A kind boater will not let his wake capsize or disturb others. When we show respect to all things, we show our knowledge of the Tao.
