A Surfeit Of Water

Drops of water can wear away the toughest rock; slowly, surely. One drop at a time falls, and then another, and another, and another, and another, and they do their work without anyone noticing. The drops of water are very patient. They do their work in silent harmony. The rock in time becomes overwhelmed and gives way. We could learn from these drops of water. No one drop seeks to do more than he can. No one drop seeks fame. They march on like soldiers in an endless barrage of force. With persistence, we can accomplish much. The Tao works quietly in the shadows. Change is all around in one form or another, sometimes imperceivable to the eye, yet it occurs.
