Each person has the right to choose among many paths in life. He may choose wisely or unwisely, but decision is his alone, to make. Then he must live with the consequences. It is the karma of the Tao. The tide flows out because the tide had flowed in. We may see many others choosing unwise paths. We must remember we are not sheep destined to follow the crowd. Sometimes the crowd is right, often it is not. We have some control over our destiny. We must take care that we control it and not cede the right to others. Look to the Tao for the strength to make decisions, the courage to be brave, the wisdom to be at peace with your own path.
