Jamais Vu

Several days ago, we talked about déjà vu…often described as the opposite of the phenomena déjà vu, jamais vu involves a sense of eeriness and the observer's odd impression that they are seeing a situation for the first time…this despite rationally knowing that they have been in the situation before…yet, this feeling of newness cannot be shaken…jamais vu is more commonly explained as when a person momentarily cannot recognize a particular word, a certain person, or a place that they already are familiar with...jamais vu is sometimes associated with certain types of aphasia, amnesia, and even epilepsy…or maybe too when it’s something that plays tricks on the mind when the mind is tired…whatever causes it, it can be very startling to the person involved…it is said this occurs far less than déjà vu.
