Grow old gracefully and
give up those things that only the youths should be doing. As Lenny Bruce, the man
himself, said “There’s nothing sadder than an aging hipster.” You can get all
the surgeries and all that to look young, but that’s all you’re doing is
looking young. Your clock is ticking, ticking down to the final countdown. You
can’t buy your way out of a meeting with the Grim Reaper. It might take place
in the street with you face down; helpless and in the company of strange
strangers; god forbid it happens in the office in front of your co-workers that
you’ve shared years of fake camaraderie with. If you’re lucky, it happens at
home…quietly, peacefully.
