The Issue of Fatalism

Does fatalism lead to total freedom? I mean if you believe in fatalism, then why worry about what you’re doing now? It should have no effect, no bearing on things for your fate is already cast. Fatalism is defined as the belief that all events are predetermined and therefore inevitable. So, no matter what you do, fate will determine the final outcome. What is meant to be is meant to be. You can buy 10,000 lottery tickets or you can buy only one. If you are meant to win, you will win even if you only buy one for the fates will have their say. If you have an illness and go to the doctor, you were meant to go to the doctor. If you don’t go to the doctor, you were not meant to go. One can say that if you live or die from this illness, that was what fate meant to have happen and it was really meaningless if you went or not. It goes on in layers and layers. Does fate control everything or just some things? So then, is what happens in our life already written? Perhaps but each man is free to live as he chooses. Though they seem opposite, both are true. It can be very difficult to understand or take a stand one way or another.
