When you’re sailing the
narrows, you better pay attention. Most of the problems we have are from
carelessness; not focusing on the details or getting distracted. Stay on the
bridge and keep a steady wheel. Guide yourself through the things that can
cause problems. Know where they are and stay away from them. When we had a
boat, we lived on a branch of a large lake. Within that branch of water were
tree stumps under the water. You had to know where they were or you could
easily break a propeller on one of them. They were left there to keep fools
from speeding. The big lake was for that. I saw many a boat over time that
kissed the stumps and were damaged leaving their 'sailors' less than happy. Know where you are and what might be
waiting for you.
