A smooth sea never made
a skilled sailor so goes an old English proverb. Any fool can sail easily on a
sea of glass with light winds, but there are many of those same ‘sailors’ who would
panic or abandon ship at the first sight of a storm approaching. They mistake a
spring shower for the waves of Cape Horn. Get up on the bridge and keep a
steady hand at the wheel. Adjust course if necessary and stay out of the
swells. Don’t give up the ship too easily. The port will soon be in sight.
