Most people want
to understand and be understood even on a most basic level. Yet a wise one knows
that this does not mean that you have to know everything. The sage also is
unconcerned whether he is understood or not. He merely seeks to follow his way
as water seeks its level. Wisdom is the quiet and deep water. It is the
farthest star in the sky that often goes unnoticed. If you know everything about
something, the exotic mystery of the unknown is lost. The sage makes no effort
to know everything and thus knows the most.
