There is no such thing
as capturing the Dao. We always want to capture everything; keep it, hold it,
never let go; put it on a shelf somewhere and admire it or show it off to
others. We are the ultimate hunters. That is the fault of human nature. The Dao
is the Dao. It isn’t ordinary game. It doesn’t’ fall into traps and you cannot
hunt it down no matter how smart you think you are. It isn’t something you can get
your hands on. It changes and you must change with it to stay close to it. The Dao
is superior and plays no favorites. Trying to make a science out of it is
merely an academic exercise and ignores the true spirit of what the Dao is all
about.
