Hitchhiking is
one the more dangerous pastimes and there are many stories filled with
vanishing hitchhikers, falling victim perhaps to unsavory characters who
offered a ride. There is a place in Switzerland called the Belchen Tunnel. The
hitchhiker in this case appears to be an elderly woman in white garb. There was
time when two girls reported that they’d picked up this woman, who appeared to
be quite ill. When they asked how she was feeling, she said she was sick and warned
that something “terrible” was going to occur. Before the girls could inquire
further about her condition, she reportedly disappeared. Could this be a true story
or a fabricated tale?
