What do you suppose is the relationship between literature
and mysticism? Is literature just a particular a means of expressing mystical
experiences or creating them, or is it part of the experience itself? Would you
believe something to be mystical if there was nothing to tell you that it was? Authors
have been putting ideas in people’s heads for years. I believe that we don’t
need authors or ‘experts’ to tell us what is mystical and what isn’t. I think
we can decide that in our own minds and hearts without someone advising us what
is and what isn’t.
