"All the world's a stage" is the phrase that begins a monologue in the play As You Like It by Shakespeare, and indeed we are all actors for who is truly themselves? We act for the world, and perhaps even sadder, for ourselves. Who are we kidding? Who are we lying to? We write scripts which go unperformed, we say lines that are better left unspoken, or we have lines that we never deliver although the scene calls for them.
