That which is full
overflows and cannot hold any more. That which is empty receives. That which is
empty and fills can empty once more. That which remains full and does not empty
is closed. A beginner’s mind is full of wondrous possibilities and
opportunities. An expert’s mind is full and refuses to acknowledge the chance
that is could be wrong or the chance to learn something new. A fire rages and
then will burn itself out unless it finds new fuel.
