Many
people search for the truth, but do they search in the right place? Would they
even know the truth if they did find it? Or perhaps, they would not like the
truth and prefer to turn away. Truth can be enlightening and beautiful, but it
can also be unkind; a cold harsh light shined where we would prefer it not be
illuminated. A light that shows the lines, the wrinkles, the imperfections. Some
people prefer not to know the truth. If we are one with the Dao however, even
the unpleasant truths can be endured and learned from.
