It has been said that a book contains a house of gold. Of course, it depends on what book we have in our hands. Shakespeare, Whitman…some are worth more than others. This is especially true if the book we are holding is the Tao Te Ching. One might even say it is worth far more than gold for it is priceless. Know too that some books may contain fool’s gold. It may promise much but will leave you penniless and bereft on solid ground to stand on. Beware of the charlatans who peddle their visions like the common vendor in the street. Be careful of what you take off the shelf and sit down to read.
