Abandon the whole idea of value. Seek to cultivate harmony within yourself. It is far too unrealistic to expect others to be harmonious. So then it is up to us to seek joy within by becoming one with the Dao. There is so much unhappiness in the world, we cannot expect to find happiness in the outside world in which we live. We can find everlasting peace inside that we can always touch without dependence on anything or anyone.
