Dying To Live

Always seek to live in the substantial and not the superficial. We do this by becoming one with the Dao. We do by non-doing, achieve by not striving, learn to live by dying. Our goal in meditation should be to die each day. By doing this, we can then live fully. By dying, we mean giving up a little portion of the life and concepts and perceptions that keep you from becoming one with the Dao. The Dao is always non-doing, yet leaves nothing undone. The superficial has no life sustaining powers. It is the substantial that creates the power within. Subtle illumination comes from a candle burning, a corridor lit, a door opened.
