We must beware of the tricksters, the charlatans who masquerade around with smiles. In the art world, it can be most difficult to tell a genuine painting by a master apart from a fake done by a forger. Most experts can be fooled which makes you wonder about anything purported by an ‘expert’. In life we face many hanky-panky people who look to deceive us, throw a veil over our eyes while they empty our pockets or hearts. If you are genuinely one with the Dao, one with yourself, these con men have no chance.
