Water

Water seeks its own level, not the level of that which is around it. It wisely flows around the rock, it does not fight it. Man often does not seek his own level, but acquiesces to try to find a level that is approved by others. When he finds a rock in his path, he often tries to force it out of the way. This brings about conflict and strife. He finds himself out of his own element, his own flow. He is discombobulated by the sign of adversity. How can he then have any sense of harmony? It is wise to seek your own level, your own balance. Be as gentle as the water and have its same sense of persistence.
