Opposites

When beauty is declared, then ugliness has been implied. When good has been deemed, then evil has been defined. Thus, alive and dead are perceived, difficult and easy are known, the long and the short are created, the high and the low are seen. What is one to one is something else to another. One persons’ trash is another’s treasure. The Tao makes no such distinctions nor does the sage.
