Nature is not partial, it treats all things impartially. The sage prefers not one over another and treats all people impartially. The more the Tao moves, the more it yields, the more it stays the same. The gentle rains of the Tao fall on all houses, its sunlight streams across all lands, its snowflakes fall and drift equally. Those who seek favor with the Tao are turned away.
