Digging A Hole

When we are digging a hole, we can either dig ourselves a grave or seek to carve out a well that will provide us with life giving water. The choice is up to us. The work is the same. The dirt is no cleaner either way. It takes the same amount of effort to move the dirt. We decide whether our work is for a good cause or not. So much effort is spent by some shoveling themselves into a grave for reasons that are foolish. It is better to be wise and use your labor to dig and find something that is useful. Let the way of the Tao be your shovel.
