The Ocean of Tao

The most eloquent of words can not describe the beauty of an ocean; to comprehend it, you must see it with your own eyes. Language cannot capture what must be experienced directly. The same is true with the Tao: the only way to understand it is to directly experience it. The subtle truth of the universe is unspeakable and unthinkable. It cannot be touched by mere words. It is an osmosis of sorts, a gentle transmission between the Tao and ourselves. One can not get wet with words describing ocean. One cannot taste the salt of the water, or feel the waves moving your body up and down. The ocean of Tao comes in and goes out, but it never really goes out. It is always there. Waiting for us to come into it and drench ourselves with its beauty and wisdom. Let the Tao be the ocean that rushes over you. You do not need to do anything but stand there.
