Contention
In contention, there is victory and defeat, a winner and a loser. Where there is no contention, this is not the case. We should seek to avoid contention. The reed that bends in the rushing river survives. The flexible continue, the brittle break. Osho once said, “Only inferior people, who have an idea of deep inferiority, try to prove themselves to be superior.” The world is full of large egos that crash against one another in an attempt to be the winner. The true winner never plays.
